This “smiley face” crater was imaged by the Mars Reconnaissance Orbiter last week.
The unnamed crater is about 3 kilometers (1.9 miles) across. It is located among the Nereidum Montes, north of the Argyre basin, near 45.1°S, 55.0°W. North is toward the right and sunlight illuminates the scene from the upper right.

Look at this silhouette of a spinning girl below, is she spinning clockwise or counter-clockwise?
If you look at her long enough she will appear to spin in the opposite direction.. It took me about a minute for the spinning to reverse, I found it helped to momentarily look away from the image.

In this vid, the speed of rotation of the helicopter’s rotor blades is almost perfectly synced to the cameras fps, giving rise to the illusion that the rotors are not spinning. Very cool effect!

This is a pretty cool illusion, have a look at the squares marked ‘A’ and ‘B’ in the image above. They look like they are different colors but in actual fact they are not, they are exactly the same.
Placing the squares side by side as in the image below destroys the illusion. Try it yourself.
