Space Jet unveiled

EADS Astrium, a European aerospace company unveiled a full scale model of their space jet in Paris this week. The jet is designed to take four paying passengers on a one and a half hour round trip to an altitude of 100 km above the Earth.
The space jet will have both rocket and conventional jet engines which would allow it to take off from regular airports and then use its rockets to blast it into space where its passengers will experience about 3 minutes of weightlessness.
Tickets for the space jet are expected to cost somewhere between 150,000 and 200,000 euro, with the first flight scheduled by 2012.
