Millions of people around the globe are logging on to the internet to stare at a slowly ripening piece of cheddar cheese. The cheese was stuck in front of a webcam last December as part of a project to show people how real food is made and last week broke past the 1 million viewer mark.

“It takes a year for the cheese to mature. This is not fast food. It is slow food.”

And you thought the interwebs were only used for looking at pron.
