Researchers develop iPod virus

An iPod virus has been developed by security firm Kaspersky Lab. The virus called “Podloso” only affects iPods running Linux, it also is incapable of spreading automatically from one iPod to another and can’t jump from an iPod to a PC. I know that at this point you must be thinking this is a pretty lame virus and you are right. Podloso was created as a “proof of concept” and not as a malicious tool. What it has shown is that it is theoretically possible for an iPod to be infected by a real virus (so watch where you stick your earbuds).
