Here is a vid of a reporter trying out the US military’s new heat ray. We posted about this weapon in January here, basically the beam heats the targets skin to 50C causing pain which only ceases when exposure to the beam ends. It is supposedly non-lethal and an ideal way of dispersing crowds. Personally my favorite crowd dispersal weapon is the water canon, just for the entertainment value.

It looks like it hurt quite a bit.
