Apple announced yesterday that the 100 millionth iPod has been sold making it the best selling music player in history. That’s quite an achievement considering that the first one was released only in November 2001, which works out to an average of about 50,000 iPod’s sold every day for the past five and a half years. In terms of revenue if we say that the average selling price of an iPod (across the 10+ different models) is $250, then that equates to a staggering $25 billion of revenue for the once struggling company. F*ck me!
