Microsoft announced today that it will be releasing a new 512MB Xbox 360 Memory Unit worldwide on April 3, 2007. The unit will initially sell for US$49.99 and for a limited time will come preloaded with “Geometry Wars: Retro Evolved”. The original 64MB Memory Unit will simultaneously drop in price from $39.99 to $29.99, making the new 512MB unit look cheap considering it has 8 times the capacity.

Also, in another welcome announcement, as of today the Xbox LIVE Arcade game size limit has tripled from 50 MB to 150 MB.
