Make money on YouTube
Chad Hurley (YouTube co-founder) announced yesterday at the World Economic Forum that YouTube will soon start sharing revenue with its users.
YouTube founder Chad Hurley has confirmed that his team is working on a revenue-sharing mechanism that would “reward creativity”.
He said the system would be rolled out in a couple of months and use a mixture of advertisements, including short clips shown ahead of the actual film.
This only applies if the user owns the full copyright of the uploaded video, which by my calculations automatically makes 95% of YouTube’s current content non-eligible.
