DeLorean Flux Capacitor now available
It seems that someone at the DeLorean Motor Company has a sense of humour. A search of their online parts store reveals that they have Flux Capacitors in stock. In case you didn’t know, a Flux Capacitor is essential for time travel in a DeLorean vehicle as demonstrated in the Back to the Future movies.
From Wikipedia:
In order to travel through time, the vehicle integrated with the flux capacitor needs to be travelling at 88 mph (140.8 km/h), and requires 1.21 gigawatts of power (1 210 000 000 watts), originally supplied by a plutonium-powered nuclear reactor. However, for the time machine’s return trip (from 1955 back to 1985), plutonium was not available, so a lightning rod was connected directly to the flux capacitor and was used while the vehicle sustained 88 mph.
Here is the capacitor listed in the online store, take note of the part number.
