Football: It’s the worlds biggest religion, I didn’t think it was Catholic
Cardinal Bertone has again fuelled speculation that the Vatican may one day have a football team of their own.
“I do not preclude the possibility that the Vatican, in the future, could put together a football team of great value, that could play on the same level as Roma, Inter Milan and Sampdoria,” said Cardinal Bertone the Vatican Secretary of State.
Vatican City would not be the first micro-state to have a football team. San Marino and Andorra also have teams and compete internationally, with San Marino losing 13-0 to Germany a few months ago :0
