Cosmic Latte: The color of the Universe

Recognise the color in the square above? You should, it’s the color of the Universe.
A team of astronomers from John Hopkins University have surveyed more than 200,000 galaxies and constructed what they call “The Cosmic Spectrum”, representing the sum of the spectral range of light from the local volume of the Universe.
As a result they determined that the color of all light in the Universe added up to a slightly beige white. The team received many suggestions for a name for this color and decided on “Cosmic Latte”, which is marginally better than “Primordial Clam Chowder” also one of the suggestions.

If that’s the case then shouldn’t the sky at night be that color instead of black?
