Top 10 movie spaceships

The spaceship design and construction gurus over at filmcritic.com have come out with a list of the Top 10 movie spaceships of all time. They only considered spaceships from movies so a lot of cool space ships from tv missed out on being judged.

For the record I am in 100% agreement with their Number 1 choice!

The list is:

1. Millennium Falcon (Star Wars)

2. U.S.S. Enterprise (Star Trek)

3. Nostromo (Alien)

4. Heart of Gold (The Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy)

5. Apollo 13 (Apollo 13)

6. Discovery One (2001: A Space Odyssey)

7. Klingon Bird of Prey (Star Trek)

8. Mothership (Independance Day)

9. Gunster (The Last Starfighter)

10. The Thunder Road (Explorers)

    Pity it wasn’t tv as well. The Shadow vessel in Babylon 5 stands head and shoulders above anything else with the new Cylon Basestar figuring highly as well.
    Seems to be more imagination in tv.

    Whatever happened to the Imperial Star Destroyer from Star Wars though?

    yeah but the star trek spaceships are really TV spaceships when you think about it - and how can any self respecting geek leave out spacecraft from 2001?!
